La Cerdanya not only outstands for being an ideal territory for mountain biking, also for its gastronomy. It has a richness of high mountain products with designation of origin from the Ceretan’s region.
Cold meats, cheese, mushroom or cottage cheese, besides lamb and beef meat are some of its delights. One of the best known dishes is the Trinxat de La Cerdanya, but also rabbit with mushrooms (moixernons) or duck with turnips (Tiró amb Naps), all of them authentic delicacies of the ceretan’s cuisine.
You can’t leave GAES Catalunya Bike Race presented by Shimano without trying the tasty liver bread or black and white bull, as the region’s typical cold meat.
And for the sweet-toothed, don’t miss the opportunity of trying cottage cheese with honey or cerdans, a sweet made with dry pasta, hazelnuts and anisette.
