With a challenging course of approximately 30 kilometers and 896 meters of elevation, the BH Flash Stage tested all the riders. At the finish line, the winners explained that the climbs and technical sections were crucial in gaining the upper hand over their rivals. In Elite Women, Calderón was initially second but made a decisive move at the top, just before the descent, where she gained significant time over her competitors. In Elite Men, the stage was decided by mere seconds, in what the winner described as a beautiful but tough race.
Thus, Drechou and Calderón are the first leaders of the race, with a 6-second lead over Raul Villar and less than three minutes over Axelle Dubau, respectively.
Tomorrow brings the queen stage: the Škoda Super Stage, with just over 51.50 kilometers and 1833 meters of elevation, which will undoubtedly be the key stage of this sixth edition.
